What Success Looks Like In This Role

  • Execute Core SEO Tasks: Under the guidance of strategists, actively learn and perform critical SEO execution across client initiatives, including but not limited to:
    • Keyword research and mapping
    • On-page optimization (metadata, headers, internal linking)
    • Off-page optimization support
    • Technical SEO (crawlability, indexation)
    • Local search and Google Business Profile optimization
  • Support Strategic Implementation: Quickly and accurately translate Strategist recommendations into actionable on-site tasks, ensuring timely execution to capitalize on identified opportunities.
  • Assist in Data-Driven Insights: Help compile and analyze foundational SEO data, including keyword ranking reports, traffic fluctuations, and basic Google Search Console data to inform ongoing strategy adjustments.
  • Uphold Process and Quality: Uphold current department processes and new guidelines with diligence and attention to detail, ensuring consistency and quality in all delivered work.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with copywriters, developers, project managers, and account managers to ensure SEO tasks are integrated seamlessly into broader client projects. Assist in documenting and creating clear implementation briefs.
  • Continuous Learning & Optimization: Commit to continuously learning about search engine optimization (SEO) best practices, algorithm updates, emerging tools, and evolving SERP behavior.
  • Monitor Performance & Competition: Track and report on organic search performance for client properties and key competitors, alerting strategists to significant changes and trends.
  • Assist in Client Reporting: Assist SEO Strategists in compiling succinct, professional, and accurate reports on SEO metrics and efforts across client properties using tools like Google Analytics and Looker Studio.
  • Efficient Task Management: Ensure assigned SEO tasks are completed on time and within budget, and manage priorities across multiple client accounts in a fast-paced agency setting.
  • Professional Development: Actively participate in training, mentorship sessions, and shared knowledge initiatives to progress toward becoming a confident, independent SEO Specialist.
  • Work Flexibly: Receive 1:1 mentorship and training on SEO at the TG HQ in St Louis, MO. Be flexible to also work remotely, camera-ready from your dedicated workspace as needed.
